Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery is the specialty of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and medical or surgical treatment of disorders of the head and neck, particularly those related to the ears, nose and throat and related soft tissues. Within the specialty there are several sub-specialties, including otology/neurotology, skull base surgery, rhinology, laryngology, facial plastic surgery, head and neck oncology, and pediatric otolaryngology. On our faculty, all of these subspecialties are represented, as well as comprehensive general otolaryngology. Different aspects of the specialty are discussed below.
